  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1 tbsp instant dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk slightly and combine it with softened butter and eggs in a large bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix bread flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth (5-7 minutes).
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly.
  7. Cut strips along one side of the rectangle and twist them over each other to braid.
  8. Allow the braided buns to rise again for about 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Brush with beaten egg before baking for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
