  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 chicken hamburger buns, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 8 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onions and minced garlic to the skillet; sauté until onions are translucent.
  4. Mix in Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sugar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder for the special sauce.
  6. In a large baking dish, layer half of the torn buns followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the special sauce. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and slices of American cheese.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
