  • 2 frozen puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup white granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the puff pastry on the counter for about 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the ganache by heating heavy cream until steaming and pouring it over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth and let cool.
  3. Beat cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Roll out thawed pastry and cut into rectangles.
  5. Apply egg wash to edges of each rectangle.
  6. Cut smaller rectangles inside each piece without cutting through.
  7. Fill with cream cheese mixture and chill before baking.
  8. Bake at 400°F for 17-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool completely before topping with chocolate ganache.
