Ingredients

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 2/3 cup warm water
  • Sliced pear
  • Halved pearl onions
  • Halved cherry tomatoes
  • Thinly sliced red onion
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Coarse salt
  • Plenty of olive oil (a few Tbs.)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Mix flour, yeast, and salt in a bowl. Slowly add warm water until a shaggy dough forms. Cover and let it rise at room temperature for at least 12 hours.
  2. Shape Your Focaccia: Grease a casserole dish with olive oil. Gently tip out the risen dough and spread it evenly in the dish. Let it rest for another 2 hours.
  3. Preheat & Decorate: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Decorate the dough with rosemary as branches and use vegetables as ornaments.
  4. Bake: Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Enjoy: Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.
