Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Season sliced chicken with spices (smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper). Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown (about 4–5 minutes per side). Set aside.
  2. Boil salted water and cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet used for chicken, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and parsley; simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Combine drained pasta with the sauce in the skillet. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed. Add cooked chicken back into the pan; toss everything together.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
