Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and toast pecans for 5–7 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  4. Fold in cooled pecans gently.
  5. Drop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
  6. Allow cookies to cool before preparing the glaze by melting butter and brown sugar; stir in milk and whisk in powdered sugar.
  7. Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies and let set before serving.
