  • 4 beef sausages
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup fruit juice (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the beef sausages until golden all over. Remove from the pot and set aside.
  2. Add the chopped bacon to the pot and cook until crispy.
  3. Stir in the sliced onions and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
  4. Layer the potatoes and carrots on top of the bacon mixture.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, add optional fruit juice, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  6. Return the browned sausages to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let simmer for one hour until vegetables are tender.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
