  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (to thicken)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef or chicken, panko breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, gochujang, soy sauce, and seasonings. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  3. Cook the meatballs by baking at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes or pan-frying until golden brown.
  4. For the sauce, whisk together soy sauce, honey, gochujang, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch mixture in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened.
  5. For the dip, mix mayonnaise with gochujang, lime juice, honey, and garlic powder.
