  • 2 Tablespoons salted butter
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 34 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 ½ cups beef broth
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat lightly with flour.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté sliced mushrooms until golden brown.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet and sear the chicken breasts until browned on both sides (about 5-7 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, combine beef broth, chicken bouillon cube, soy sauce, garlic, and leftover flour. Whisk until smooth; bring to a simmer.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water, then add to the simmering sauce until thickened.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet for a few more minutes.
