  • 1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 pound turkey sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook linguine or fettuccine until al dente; reserve some pasta water.
  2. Season shrimp and chicken with Cajun seasoning.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sear the chicken until golden brown; remove from skillet.
  4. Cook shrimp in the same skillet until pink; set aside.
  5. Brown turkey sausage in the skillet.
  6. Sauté bell peppers and onions until softened; add garlic.
  7. Create a roux with butter and flour; gradually whisk in chicken broth and cream.
  8. Stir in cheese and seasonings; simmer until thickened.
  9. Add back proteins and vegetables into the sauce; toss with cooked pasta.
  10. Garnish with parsley and green onions before serving.
